History

Over the course of four decades, Autoflame has evolved from a regional service into a world-class international organisation.

Built upon a solid foundation of boilerhouse expertise, Autoflame is currently the global market leader in combustion management solutions.

Established in 1972 by Brendan Kemp, Autoflame began as a service company. With a reputation for high quality work and exceptional knowledge of boiler plant, clients across London and England turned to Autoflame to take care of their boiler service needs and continue to do so to this day.

Built upon the experience of engineers working in boiler rooms a need for more accurate and reliable control of burners was identified.

This became the catalyst for the design of the Autoflame Micro Modulation fuel air ratio control. This system has gone on to revolutionize the way that burners operate, evolving to include Exhaust gas analysis, Data monitoring, water level control, Flue gas recirculation management and many more novel features.

With over 10,000 systems currently in operation globally, Autoflame burner controls are now specified as standard equipment in the boiler rooms of some of the world’s most prestigious organizations. Autoflame Technology centres ensure that we are able to serve and support installations wherever they may be.

Autoflame currently has seven worldwide patents on products designed and manufactured in house, and is the proud holder of The Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the categories of Export Achievement (1996), Environment (1997) and Innovation (2007). The company has seen impressive growth and continues to build upon its comprehensive portfolio of products.

Autoflame’s commitment to innovation and engineering creativity has shaped it into a world leader in its field. These core values remain prominent in the company today, and will continue to do so in the future as we help other organizations meet their commitments to the environment and efficiency targets.
